Who Are We
Terri Jordan and Michelle Modesto decided to start a support group for young widows in April of 2009 because Terri was new to the area and could not find a support group for young widows after the death of her husband 2 years prior. Michelle had been a widow for 3 years prior to her current marriage, and had a desire to help start a support group named "Young Widows Support Group" through a website called "meetup.com." We saw a need for a group committed to helping young widows and widowers through the most difficult time in their life. Our support group on "meetup" has grown to over 240 members and is still growing.
